I have long had a fascination with suburban life, the houses that line streets and the stories they share of those who call them home.

 

 

Earlier this year (2021), I began a personal project titled 'the burbs' with a view to documenting what is most often perceived as mundane. On further exploration I began to appreciate the subtle nuances within suburbia, the choices humans make and the form (often brutal) that is introduced to the landscape; the sum of all elements equates to stories of who we are, where we have come from and where our journey may end.
